Abortion in a post-Roe USA: New York group bolsters candidates who protect access in state (The Journal News)

For Eleanor's Legacy, established in 2001 to recruit and train women candidates who support abortion rights, the stakes have never been higher. "On our application we no longer ask if you support Roe," said Sophie Nir, executive director of the organization and its EL Action Fund. "We ask now, 'Do you support abortion access for all?'"

Ulaj said she sees support in New York, and in Westchester specifically, for candidates who are "unapologetically pro-choice, and who we do not even have a question about whether or not they are going to protect this right and expand this right."
